Name: Alexey Titarenko. Beruf: Fotograf. Geboren: 1962 in St.Petersburg, heute wohnhaft in St. Petersburg und New York. Merkmal: der schmale Grat zwischen Angst und Faszination. In seiner wohl bekanntesten Fotostrecke City of Shadows, entstand zwischen 1992 und 1994 eine Kombination aus verschwommenen Grau-, Weiss-, und Schwarzbildern, welche die teils schwer erträglichen Bedingungen im russischen Alltag dokumentieren.
